Helen Landacre, age 87, of Hawthorne, California, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in Inglewood, California.

Helen was born on May 12, 1938 in Los Angeles, California, to the late Saturnino and Angelina Carlos. She graduated from Leuzinger High School in 1957 and soon began her career with Kaiser Permanente as a switchboard operator. She dedicated many years of service there before retiring in 2003.

In 1959, Helen married the love of her life, James Kenneth Landacre. They shared many years of marriage until his passing in 1989.

Helen was a devoted member of First Assembly of God, where she faithfully practiced and lived out her Christian beliefs. She was known by family and friends as a deeply Godly woman whose faith guided her throughout her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Todd Landacre and his wife Debbie; Bruce Landacre; Renne Landacre and her wife Laurinda Meade; and Liz Landacre. She also leaves behind five grandchildren—Ryan Marcoccia, Brandon Marcoccia, Heather Landacre, Amber Landacre, and Belinda Landacre—and seven great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James; and her oldest son Thomas James Landacre and her sisters Josephine Gomez, Vera Jackson, Ramona Anderson,Angelina Sanders, Louise Sanders, , and ; and her brothers Arthur Carlos , Ralph Carlos and Richard Carlos.

Services will be held on March 6, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Chapel, Inglewood Cemetery. With a luncheon immediately following the services at El Torito Restuarant located on the Redondo Beach Pier.
